Common questions

How do we connect? One of you opens Settings → Invite your partner and sends the link. The other taps it on their phone and accepts. You both need to be signed in to iCloud.

Do we need an account? No. Kuchu & Cutu uses your own iCloud accounts to sync, so there's nothing to sign up for and nothing to log out of.

How do calls and the walkie-talkie work? Open Us → Talk. Calls and walkie messages go through a tiny relay that stores nothing. If your partner isn't connected, walkie messages wait in your shared iCloud. You can also start a FaceTime call from the same card.

What is Kuchu AI? Optional writing and planning helpers powered by Anthropic's Claude. Only what you type in a Kuchu AI screen is sent. Turn it on or off in Settings.

Is anything paid? No. Every feature is free. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads.

Can we use it alone first? Yes. Everything works solo; when your partner joins, your notes, memories and countdowns are shared.

How do I export or delete our data? Settings → Export data, and Settings → Delete all data. To stop sharing, Settings → Unpair.

The widget isn't updating. Open the app once; iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule.
